What is Transliteration?
Transliteration is used when a word or phrase needs to be conveyed in a language with another writing system. Remember to write the words in Latin script in Russian or Japanese (originally using Cyrillic or Kanji respectively).
Note that the transliteration doesn’t actually render the words in the new language, but in the new format. (i.e, transliteration does not change Russian sentences to English sentences, but instead replaces Cyrillic characters with Latin characters.)
Transliteration writes the source text phonetically into another language. This means that if you want to transcribe English text in Hindi, write the sentences/words in Hindi script (Devnagri) as they are spoken in English. Transliteration services are more in demand in Indian spoken languages. Content such as music, album titles, movie titles, game titles, etc. is not usually translated into another language.
